This is a beautiful book with pictures and descriptions of American scrimshaw artwork (decorative items made from the bones and teeth of whales).

The photography is amazingly detailed.  The items pictured include personal accessories, tools, and items for the home.

The book is ex-library with the usual markings.  The plastic cover is torn slightly on the front, and the library had placed a sticker onto the dust jacket.  The inside front flyleaf has been cut out; otherwise the pages are in great shape, and the book looks like it was hardly circulated.
