AAOPP Custom Painted Pony artist Barbara Walden. Many Paths Named for the many paths of the Cherokee tribe, Browns creams, tourquoise, rose and black acrylic were used on Many Paths Pony. The hair was brushed on with a layered effect you might think this is flawed, but looking closely will reveal it was intentional Blends of browns with the paths in creamy colors painted in the same way. Painted feathers down his mane and on his tail. Painted ropes. and painted beads. The accent feathers are glued on. Don't know the bird from which there from but they are very long and tiny and the markings are beautiful with great contrast to the colors of the pony. A spear (with a hand made from quickwood) bears tooth and a beautiful leaf with turquoise edges. Rabbit fur has been tied on with strings of wax linnen. It is removable. Native markings on the body and on the legs. all color cordinated. The base has been decorated using the same colors as are on the pony. The black on the base is textured with native designs under the black for a pressed visual. My intent was to put a leather blanket over him complete with a bedroll, But these items took away from his really unique body paintings. And Ohhhh just look at that beautiful face. Hope you love him as much as I loved painting him. Resin pony 6 1/2" Westland paint your own pony blank. (This design is an original and has been copyrighted by the artist.
