This is a fantastic opportunity for fans of the classic newspaper comic strip Abbie An' Slats. Up for sale is the original art for the strip for 10/29/1966. It was penciled and inked by the late Raeburn van Buren. It is in outstanding condition. (Note that the scan makes the piece seem more yellow then it actually is.) Also I had to scan the piece in two sections, which is why it may look a little off. The piece measures approx. 6 1/2" x 21".

Abbie An' Slats ran from 1937 until Jan. 31, 1971. It was created by Li'l Abner creator Al Capp who wrote the strip until 1945. Though van Buren handled the artwork for the entire 34 year run.
