Presented for your bidding consideration and decorating enjoyment is this beautiful hibiscus low bowl by Abingdon Art Pottery.

Hibiscus Bowl Facts:

·       This art pottery piece with a classic white shiny glaze is in excellent condition - - there are no chips, cracks or crazing.  The graceful flowing petals of the hibiscus flower reminiscent of the art deco period add to the beauty of this piece.

·       The art piece measures about 10 inches in diameter and it sits a little over 2 inches high.

·       The backstamp reads:

ABINGDON

U.S.A.

(in a blue rectangle)

·       Pottery from the Abingdon Pottery Factory was produced from 1934 – 1950 and is known for its pronounced mold designs and use of heavy dense clay.  This hibiscus flower piece displays both of these characteristics - - the petals have graceful flowing deep ridges and the piece is heavy.

The classic white glaze and the graceful form of the flower make this a wonderful decorating piece.
