The American Robin is one of the first signs of Spring! Seeing them return gives us hope that maybe, just maybe, winter is finally over! Here a Momma Robin sits on her eggs, waitng for her babies to hatch! "Momma Robin on Her Nest" was painted with Winsor & Newton professional artists watercolors on Arches 140lb hot-pressed watercolor paper! I used a lot of complimentary colors in this little work of art. The painterly brushstrokes give it a "lively" look and an old-fashioned charm like story book illustrations of olden days. Please note that the colors, brightness and sharpness of the image viewed will vary from monitor to monitor.

I have been painting for 43 years, mostly in acrylics and more recently watercolor. I enjoy other mediums as well. The subjects I enjoy painting most are children, animals and landscapes. . . All bird paintings are dedicated to my Dad. It was his love and care of wild birds that sparked my own love of birds. This is one of my best memories of my Dad!  All of my work is dedicated to the Lord who gave me the gift of drawing and painting as well as a love for all living creatures!
