Subject: Shane and I were on a walk to collect monarch caterpillars at Valley Forge. As we were crossing a bridge, we looked down and spotted this doe in a thicket between the train tracks and the woods. Deer are ubiquitous at this park. When we are walking we usually are not able to get too close, but when I’m mountain biking, I’ve gotten within 10 feet of the deer without them moving.
