"Snowy Owl"

This is an original gouache (opaque watercolor) miniature ACEO painting, hand-drawn and hand-painted, measuring 2.5" x 3.5" standard ACEO size.  It was painted on mat board and sprayed with a sealer for protection.  After it is sprayed it looks more like an acrylic painting than a watercolor.  It is unmatted and unframed and will be mailed in a trading card sleeve secured in a thick mailer.     

ACEO's are Art Cards, Editions and Originals, the same size as trading cards.  They are very popular, affordable, tradeable and collectable.  They fit into standard trading sleeves and albums and also can be matted and framed.  I am a member of ebay's ACEO groups, self-representing artists producing ACEO paintings and OSWOA, 4"x6"original small works of art.  Just type ACEO or OSWOA in the search box to find all of these talented artists' painting.            

This painting is dated and initialed on the front and signed on the back by myself, the artist, Phyllis Ferdinando.  I live in southwest Colorado next to Mesa Verde National Park and the San Juan Mountains, inspirations for many of my paintings.  I have been painting for over 40 years.   I work mainly from my own photographs and my imagination and paint realistic animals, birds, florals and landscapes. 

My paintings are scanned rather than photographed and it is not possible to match the colors exactly.  Also, colors may differ from computer monitor to monitor.   Please do not copy this image, as I retain all copyrights.
