Birds that
are two weeks
old are called fledglings. They have grown so
fast that now they have feathers,
and a tail that's about 1/2 inch long.
Fledglings are curious and want to explore the world. They leave the nest even though they cannot fly yet or eat
on their own.

This baby English Robin will hop on the ground and call to his parents to be fed. It will take him a few days to be able
to fly up to low branches and
it will take two weeks for him
to learn how to feed himself.

The parents will take care of
him on the ground until he is ready
to fly. They will show him how to find food and what to eat. The adult birds will make loud noises to warn their baby when
danger is
nearby.

Against
a dark background this fledgling is striking and el
egant.

About this picture:

This aceo is based on one of my larger paintings. Creating a smaller version of this painting, allows me to share my work with a greater number of  people, at a more affordable price.

The paint medium I mix into the paint is based on a recipe that is over 300 years old! I use it because it produces a rich stained glass effect.  When the painting is placed under a spotlight the optical effects are truly dazzling!

Each work of art comes with a Certificate of Authenticity printed on acid-free, 100%
cotton paper.
The artwork is
titled, dated and
signed on the back.

I use only the highest quality paints and canvas so
my paintings will last for many generations, making them a perfect purchase to pass down to your family and loved ones.

Payment Details:

Paypal preferred.  If you do not have a Paypal account you can still pay through Paypal by using a credit card.

(Money orders accepted)

About the Artist:

My name is Lad Luckskind. I grew up in a 230 year old house in RI where I still live. And though I cannot explain why I create art, I
know that it is what
I was born to do.

My art encompasses my whole being with all the depth of feelings and emotions coming together at once, so it has been a natural evolution for me to paint subjects that evoke strong emotions and yet still have what I would refer to as: “the silence
of an icon.”

I have always believed that art is about creating a connection between the viewer and the artist, so please take a look at some of my works  and see for yourself if they
are somehow connecting with something inside
of you. If they are, then something very special
is happening, and that special 'something' is
what I have been
working for my
entire life.
