ACUTE (Vera Co.) AMAZING BLUE VINTAGE CHRISTMAS SILK SCARF



OMG. Check out the breath-taking images and absolutely incredible colors of this scarf! It's big - it measures @ 31" square. It has a large silver circle in the center filled with an old fashioned Christmas tree (complete with candles and flags) and framed in beautiful holly sprigs. The round frame around the tree is brilliant royal blue and gold, then a turquoise-teal background that is sooooo vivid it makes my mouth water, and then another matching blue and gold border around the entire scarf. The vintage style illustrations in the turquoise corners are sooo charming. Santa with his sack of dolls and toys with a pipe in his mouth, children marching in a line playing musical instruments, trains, dollies and drums, a jack-in-the-box and a sled. This just could not be more beautiful! The maker tag shows "Acute" and that it is 100% Silk and Made in Japan. Vera Neumann's Vera Companies launched the Acute line in 1984. There is no indication that the artwork was hers, but it's still fun to know the Acute line was Vera's. The silk of this scarf is outstanding - the colors just shimmer. Quality Alert: The graphics on this scarf are equally perfect and bright on both sides of the scarf. There is no "wrong" side. I love that! This vintage scarf is in FANTASTIC LIKE NEW condition. Even holding it up to the light I'm not finding any blemished or boo-boos to report. This will be a special one you will never want to give up. Be warned; there will be oohs and ahhs when you wear it. Would make a very unique and charming gift.
