This exciting print is from a rare children’s book, published over 65 years ago! It shows is a wonderful, whimsical picture of the Northrop Gamma Aeroplane at night. This plane was used to set records by Howard Hughes (transcontinental in 1936), Captain Frank Hawks, Amelia Earhart, Donald W. Douglas, Mrs. Louise Thaden, H. T. Merrill, John S. Lambie, and more. It was also the Pan American Clipper which arrived in Hong Kong China in 1937 (first commercial transpacific flight).

 

It is printed on thick, quality paper and has bold, rich colors. It has text on the back, but the thickness of the paper prevents it from being visible through the paper. The text on the back (or a photocopy of the text) tells the story of this airplane. The print is even nicer than the scan!

 

The page measures approx. 8.5x11.5 inches (21x29 cm), and the actual image area is about 7.75x11 inches (20x28cm). 

This is NOT a recent copy or modern reproduction, but a GENUINE antique item.

All prints are delivered in an archival sleeve and packed flat with heavy cardboard or rolled in a sturdy tube. I stand behind my products and offer a FULL REFUND if you think the product does not match the description in any way.
