This is a book of photos put together by my uncle, Alfred K. Schroeder, a world renowned photographer and noted military historian.
It is titled Underwater Obstructions HD Boston. The first part of the book contains 19 black and white photographs on photo paper, (attached to plain paper); some are labeled, they are all approximately 5" x 7". Labeled ones include "Long Island, Moon Head, Moon Head Outboard", Peddock's Island, Windmill Point, Windmill Point End", "Long Island, Deer Island, Long Island End, Obstructions looking about Southwesterly", "Long Island, Deer Island Deer Island view of Dolphins's Photograph #1", and more.
The next section appears to be copies of historical photographs which are on regular paper. I have included some examples here. There are approximately 120 of these pages, (counting one side only) most containing 8 x 10 photos, some with several smaller photos.
Although the top hole of the paper pages on the first few pages only in the book is torn, the pictures are all in excellent condition.
