Enjoy the freedom of unlimited guitar sounds without the usual cable mess. The AKG WMS 40 microtools Series guitarbug makes it incredibly easy to go wireless: just plug the AKG GB 40 guitarbug into your instrument, using it in conjunction with the AKG SR 40 receiver.

UHF operates in a higher frequency range than VHF systems. The VHF range is very highly populated with traffic, and because the VHF signal has a longer wave length, VHF radio signals pass through non-metallic walls easier than a UHF signal, making VHF wireless systems more prone to radio interference. Though more expensive than VHF wirelss, UHF is well worth the extra cost.

AKG WMS40 GB40 GUITAR BUG UHF TRANSMITTER

The AKG GB 40 guitarbug provides input gain control, battery status indicator and a replaceable frequency color code element. The best thing about the guitarbug is its FlexJack swiveling jack plug. This allows the AKG GB 40 guitarbug to couple with all guitars from the Stratocaster to a Telecaster to a Les Paul.

The FlexJack swivel jack plug will mate with any type of output jack and is spring loaded to hold the AKG GB 40 securely against the instrument. In addition, the AKG GB 40 is so small it is almost invisible and won't be in your way while playing. Since the AKG GB 40 sits right on top of the instrument's output jack, the noiseless on/mute/of switch and gain control are always within easy reach. Integrated charging contacts allow you to charge the battery quickly and easily on the optional AKG CU 40 charging unit, without having to remove the battery.

The AKG SR40 UHF receiver is as easy as plug & play, with a fixed preset frequency to let you set up and operate quickly and efficiently. An adjustable squelch and output level control permit optimum signal matching to subsequent equipment. Professional outputs include a XLR and 1/4" jack. Rugged half-rack case for standalone or rackmounted operation.
