This charming print of Alaska is from a rare children’s book, circa 1940. It depicts a hunter and trapper’s camp. Animals are everywhere in this cheerful print. The caption reads: “Alaska is a trapper’s and hunter’s paradise.” A nice vintage hunt trap item. The hunter appears to be laying out a bear skin for a rug or taxedermy.

 

This color print is on thick pebbled papers with wonderful color. The color is actually richer and deeper than my scan shows. It has text on the back, but the text is not visible through paper. This is NOT a recent copy or modern reproduction, but a GENUINE item over 65 years old.

 

The page measures approx. 9.25x11 inches, and the actual image area is about 7.75x8.5inches (19.5x21.5 cm).
