ALCHEMY POEM MANUSCRIPT 1306 AH (1888 AD):
By Ali Ben Milad Al-Gariri Al-Jabayri
What you see is a part of 120 years old handwritten Alchemy manuscript; written by Ali Al-Jabayri in 1888 AD. The author had collected the works of some famous Alchemists as a long poem; and precisely collected their mysticand occult poems and made them as a divan. The major contributor with this book is Borhan Eddine Abu Al-Hassan Ali Ben Moussa Ben Abi Al-Kassem Ben Ali Ben Rafee Ra’s Al-Andalusi Almajrity Al-Ansari: (Alkawkabiah, the planetary), (Al-Alamiah, the global), (Al-Melh, the salt), (Al-Akhrawiah, the afterlife), (Al-Sabahiah, the morning), (Al-Touriah, the mountain), (Al-Mithaliah, the ideal), (Al-Harfiah, the craft), (Al-Maiyah, the watery), (Al-Rabiyah, the spring), (Al-Kamariyah, the lunar), (Al-Sakhriyah, the stony), Al-Mousawiyah, the mosesal), (Al-Nuhasiyah, the copper), (Al-Barmakiyah, the barmaks), (Al-Adamiyah, the human), (Nour Al-Basayer Wa Al-Hayawan, the light of raisons and animals).
The other contributor is Zounnoun Al-Ikhmimi with his poem (Alkasidah Al-Ikhmimiyah). This is a one single paper with 2 complete pages. Eache page contains 14 verses and some side and foot notes explaining some of the words, or most probably comments by previous readers or owners. The leaf is affected by wormholes and humidity as well. The side notes comments were written in pink ink and were affected by humidity. The major text is not affected by worming or humidity. The script is Maghribic and is very beautiful calligraphy. This paper is part of the longest Alchemy poem I know. It is an essential tool for who is seeking the “Knowledge” and the “Truth”, or for who looks after the “Philosopher Stone”. It measures 6.5" x 8.5".
