MINT - No flaws whatsoever
EXCELLENT - Any flaws are very minor, a bit of handling wear or minor corner crease. Paper firm, clean and flat. No markings on the music.
VERY GOOD - There may be minor pen or pencil marking or erasures, light handling wear, no stains, folds, or tears unless noted.
GOOD - There may be some pen or pencil marking, light to moderate handling wear, some light creasing on pages. Possible age spots or browning on pages, handling smudges and the like. Music is in completely usable shape.
FAIR - Moderate handling wear. Any of the following flaws are possible: some marking in pen or pencil, curling or dog-eared corners, smudges, age spotting, browing of pages, small tears, edge wear, minor discolorations, loose binding. Other major flaws will be noted.
