Printed in 1959, this is a set of ten beautifully detailed maps of showing the Allied liberation of France from Nazi occupation in 1944. Each map in this set measures about 10 by 13 1/2 inches (about 25 by 34 cm.), and is in Fine condition. These maps are VERY detailed, printed on a scale of up to 7 miles to the inch, and show complete placement and manuevers of troops throughout the campaign. Axis units are shown in red; Allied units in blue. The topography of the battlefields and surrounding terrain is shown in fine detail.
Perfect for the military history buff, also highly decorative, each map was printed on a single sheet of stock and bound into an antique book for use by West Point Cadets. There are no folds, creases, marks or stains, and the paper is clean, and not brittle. Some people like to frame these maps, and they would look gorgeous hanging in your office, den, library or study. These are NOT a modern copy or reproductions! An excellent investment, these maps are certain to appreciate in value over time. Please ask all questions before making your purchase.
