This little beauty can improve ALL your pictures!

So what do we do when we go visiting or travelling or anywhere where we can't take all our beloved studio lighting equipment with us? Huh? Whaddah we do then?

We take our DS-33 "Anywhere" Flash Units along! These tiny little slave flashes will allow us to get great pictures - without "Red Eyes" and without all those ugly shadows behind our subjects!

At the great price you'll pay for these fabulous "Anywhere" flashes, you could buy a half a dozen of them (or more) for LESS than you'd pay for just a single competing unit!

As you can see from this view, the DS-33 "Anywhere" flash is a "Slave" strobe which means it can be fired without ANY type of connections at all! It's 100% cordless via the optical slave sensor (see below for an explanation of slave sensors). This gives us the maximum possible freedom in the placement of our flash units.

The "Test" button allows us to test the flash by pressing the test button, which will fire the flash to assure us all is well (although there have been unconfirmed reports of disgruntled photographers lying in wait in the dark of night for neighborhood neer-do-wells, then leaping out of the darkness, and flashing the strobe in their faces; dozens of terrified juvenile delinquents have been reported running for their lives down city streets and country lanes, overwhelmed with terror, shrieking with fear, and certain that aliens had landed and had attacked them with a futuristic light weapon:).

The "Ready" light glows to assure us the flash is charged and "ready" to fire whenever we press our camera's shutter button, setting off our built-in flash which will automatically fire the DS-33.

The New DS-33 Slave Strobe

PhotoSpeak: What's an "Optical Slave Sensor?"

It's a tiny little sensor built into most good strobes, that sits and waits for a short, intense burst of light. When it detects this burst of light (the flash from any another flash, often the flash built into your camera), it automatically sets off the flash tube in the strobe its built into. Voila! Now, with flashes that have slave sensors (often just called "slaves"), when we press the shutter button, firing the built-in or dedicated flash on our camera, the burst of light from our camera's flash will automatically set off all the other "Anywhere" flashes we may be using for that shot! Ah, ain't technology wunnerful (sic)?

We never need to use any cords, wires, or connections of any type whatsoever! We just let the little flash built into most cameras set off all the DS-33 units we may be using via their optical slave sensors. BTW, EVERY strobe I sell comes with an optical slave sensor built in.

And as you can see, there's even a handy little camera settings guide imprinted on the side of every little DS-33 "Anywhere" flash!

Complete: Each of these DS-33s comes complete with removable Tilt/Swivel Base, Flash Tube, suction cup, and diagrams showing you where to place them for best results; just add 2 AAA batteries (not included), and it's ready to fire away!
