 I WISH YOU COULD SEE THIS QUILT ! 

THE QUILTING IT IS SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL ...THE FLOWERS ARE ALL HAND STUFFED AND ARE PUFFED ..THERE IS SO MUCH HAND NEEDLE WORK IN THIS QUILT , I COULD LOOK AT IT FOR HOURS AND HOURS... 

 The quilt measures 80 x 102" . There are 12-16 tiny stitches per inch... and the hand needle work , like I said , there is so much .... 

This quilt takes your breath away ...

THIS IS ONE OF THOSE QUILTS THAT YOU REALLY NEED TO SEE ..

For the age of this beautiful quilt it is in Very Good condition , However there are some light tan staining ,and some tan spots..there is a little bit of wear on some of the stuffed roses , are a few tiny places where the stuffing is poking through the fabric..

I really feel that this quilt is worth ever effort to have it restored by a professional

   This quilt faces up beautiful and is stunning when you see it ...

..If we could go back in time...quilting bees were when groups of women gathered together to speed the production of quilts...beyond the need to complete quilts, they were an important aspect of social life..Women exchanged gossip,political news , shared patterns , recipes, family stories , laughter and tears...The men would arrive for a meal which was followed by games and dancing...Much matchmaking took place...and it is said that when the last row of quilting was about to be done , the married women stepped back and the young misses took over ..The last stitch was to believed to be the next to be married ...
