Offered with no reserve, a great circa 1850's Hunter / Fisherman flask !

The flask is embossed with a Fisherman on one side, holding a fish, and standing in the middle of a patch of ground, with what looks like a period huose or tavern in the background. On the other side, a hunter is shooting a rifle at flying geese, with a hunting dog at his side. Both men are dressed with large stove pipe hats - which do not look very practical for hunting but must have been the style at that time.

This flask is attributed to the Whitney Glass Factory in Glassboro, New Jersey.

It has a very nice medium amber color, ribbed sides, and an iron pontil based with some iron remaining The lip is an applied taper top.

The lip has one cork pry bruise along the inside top (see close up). otherwise, these is no cracks, chips or damage, no staining or noticable wear. It is a very eye catching and interesting flask with a great color.
