Description
Vehicle Description

Here it is. You want a car different from every other car at the car shows or cruise night? Up for auction is my 1963 extremely rare, special order AMC muscle car. Yes, you read it right, Muscle car. This car is unofficially known as the first muscle car. Before the GTO, Camaro, Mustang, 442 and all others. This “rarest of rare” special order, high performance Rambler was selected as Motor Trend’s “Car of the year” in 1963 and was touted as “America’s fastest production sedan”. It is truly a “Lion in sheep’s clothing”. It comes to life when you start it up and it roars like a lion. It is an extremely exhilarating experience to drive. It has the very cool Art Deco dashboard and the horn sounds like one of those old time horns. Doors shut tight with one push. Trunk is very clean. The inside (gold/tan?) is all original.  Dash and back package shelf are in exceptional condition. The outside is finished in Valencia white, which looks like a creamy off white color. Very pretty. This car shines. The mileage is 89,000 which equates to about 2000 miles a year since new. Since I’m not sure the mileage is original, I can’t guarantee it but by looking at the interior, chrome and outside, I’d say it is. This car is from the south. Glass is perfect and the windows roll up and down real nice. You don’t see these cars too much anymore and this one always attracts a crowd.  I get a lot of looks and comments from the public. People are attracted to this car at car shows and cruise nights.  It’s not your everyday car. They are astounded when you turn the key and it roars to life. It puts a smile on everyone’s face.

It comes with a full set of amenities:

• V8 Tri Poised engine

• 327 cubic inch displacement

• 4 barrel carburetion

• 9:7:1 compression ratio

• 270 horsepower

• Highly detailed engine compartment

• Floor mounted console with twin stick floor shift. One stick is for 3 speeds and 1 reverse. The other stick is for overdrive. Very unusual and rare.

• Deluxe interior

• Seats belts (rare for this year)

• Power steering

• Brand new brakes

• Quad headlights

• Cigarette lighter (ashtray never used)

• Push Button AM transistor radio in dash

• Weather eye heating, defrost and ventilation system

• Chrome weather deflectors for each of the side windows

• Bucket seats

• Reclining passenger seat

• Dual exhausts

• Chrome dual exhaust tips

• Chrome drivers side mirror

• Chrome door protectors on all 4 doors

• Full wheel chrome hubcaps on all 4 wheels

• Spare tire with full chrome hubcap

• White side wall tires

• Twin grip rear differential (also known as posi-traction)

• No rust and it has been undercoated

• 2 sets of original keys

• Lots and lots of real heavy chrome

•  Inspected by a very reputable mechanic here in town who knows his Ramblers

Now the bad: It has no GPS system, no AWD, no anti-lock brakes, no a/c, no cd player, no automatic locks or windows. It’s just a simple, fun car to drive, operate, and maintain. It’s truly a throwback to the 60’s. It looks like it’s had a repaint and it’s been done exceptionally well I think.

Here is a list of the cool memorabilia that comes with the car:

• An original copy of Motor Trend magazine 1963 with the Rambler Ambassador (Car of the Year) on the cover and very cool stories about the Rambler inside

• An original copy of a 1963 newspaper with JFK’s assassination on the cover. Looks very cool on the front seat at a car show

• An original Drive In movie tray that hooks to the driver’s door with fake food, drink and ice cream. That always elicits laughs and comments from the crowds

• An old unused postcard with a picture of the Rambler Motel on the front

• An old 1963 Rambler Ambassador Technical Service Manual

• An old 1963 Rambler Ambassador owners manual

• 2 different old 1963 Rambler Ambassador sales brochures

There,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I’ve tried to describe everything the best I could. I may have missed something so if you have any questions, please call me at 585.342.1109 anytime. If I’m not here, please leave a message. I’m not an expert on cars but I’ll try and answer any questions you may have. Everything works but the electric clock. I’m sure that it can be fixed somewhere but I just never got around to it. Car is sold as is, where is, with no warranties implied or given. Payment expected within 7 days of auction closing. Non payers will be given a negative feedback and be reported to E-bay. By bidding on this car, you are entering into a legal transaction. You will get a clear title upon receipt of full payment. Car will not leave until full payment is received. Buyer is responsible for all taxes and fees in your state of registration. Shipping is responsibility of buyer. No bid retractions allowed in the last 24 hours of auction. Come out and drive this beauty. Reserve price will not be given out but I feel it’s a very fair price for this one of a kind antique piece of history. Trust me, you'll be the only one with one of these at a car show. Unfortunately I must sell this car as much as I don’t want to. Circumstances beyond my control dictate as much. My loss is your gain. I’ve had a lot of fun with this car. Thanks for looking.
