THIS VERY VERY RARE 1961 AMC RAMBLER AMBASSADOR CUSTOM 400 V8 IS UP FOR
AUCTION!! TALK ABOUT AMERICAN CARS WITH GOOD LOOKS, THE EARLY 60’S AMC’S
HAD IT ALL. THEY WERE ECONOMICAL AND FUN TO DRIVE. THEY HAD GREAT STYLE,
REFINED LINES AND CHOICE OF MANY MODELS. SELDOM DO WE SEE A 61 RAMBLER THAT
IS AS WELL PRESERVED AS THIS ONE, COMPLETELY ORIGINAL INTERIOR AND SOME
ORIGINAL PAINT. THIS RAMBLER HAS NEVER BEEN RESTORED. WE ARE PRETTY
CONFIDENT THAT WE HAVE THE ONLY 61 CUSTOM 400 FOR SALE ON EBAY. WE HAVE DONE
SOME RESEARCH ON THESE CARS AND PUT A LINK BELOW SO YOU CAN READ ABOUT THESE
RARE CARS YOURSELF. ONE THING YOU WILL FIND IS THESE CARS WERE EXPENSIVE,
ALMOST $4000 IN 1961.
THE BODY IS VERY STRAIGHT WITH VERY NICE LINES, THIS STUNNING AMC STILL
RETAINS A LOT OF IT’S FACTORY APPLIED CLASSIC BLACK PAINT. THE JAMS AND
FIREWALL ARE ALL ORIGINAL PAINT AS WELL. THE EXTERIOR PAINT LOOKS PRETTY
GOOD AFTER ALL THESE YEARS. THE FRONT AND REAR BUMPERS ARE ORIGINAL AND
SHOWING THERE AGE SLIGHTLY. THE GRILLE IS IN VERY NICE SHAPE AND LOOKS
GREAT. ALL THE CHROME TRIM IS IN GREAT CONDITION AS WELL. THE FLOORS ARE
ORIGINAL AND IN GREAT SHAPE. THE CHASSIS IS VERY CLEAN WITH NO SIGNS OF
REPAIR OR RUST. THIS AWESOME AMC HAS THE ORIGINAL BRIGHT WHEEL COVERS AS
WELL. ALL THE ORIGINAL GLASS IS REAL NICE ON THIS CUSTOM 400. THIS WONDERFUL
61 AMC RAMBLER SITS ON WHITE WALL RADIAL TIRES.
THE ORIGINAL INTERIOR OF THIS RARE AMC IS PRETTY IMPRESSIVE. NICE ORIGINAL
RED UPHOLSTERY WITH ORIGINAL DOOR PANELS IN DECENT SHAPE. THE CARPET IS
SHOWING MINIMAL AGE. THE CHROME ACCENTS ON THE DASH AND DOOR PANELS ARE OK
AS WELL. THE DASH IS IN GOOD SHAPE. A GOOD ORIGINAL STEERING WHEEL, FACTORY
AM RADIO WITH HEATER, OVERALL THE INTERIOR IS IN GREAT CONDITION. THE TRUNK
IS CLEAN WITH NO SIGNS OF RUST.
UNDER THE HOOD IS ORIGINAL AND VERY CLEAN. THE 8 CYL ENGINE HAS NOT BEEN
DETAILED. THE VALVE COVER AND AIR CLEANER ARE ORIGINAL AND MINT. THIS AMC
HAS A NEW BATTERY. THE AMC V8 IS CONNECTED TO 3 SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANS AND
SOUNDS GREAT THROUGH THE DUAL EXHAUST.

There is no existing warranty from the factory. This car is sold
"As Is”.
We reserve the right to cancel all bids and end an auction early
should the vehicle no longer be available for sale. Please read my
Detailed Terms of Sale before bidding.
The buyer will
submit a refundable* deposit in the amount that is 5% of purchase
within one (1) business day of the close of the auction or acceptance
of offer to secure the vehicle. Buyer agrees to pay the remaining
balance due (plus applicable fees and taxes) within five (5) business
days of the close of the auction if you are not going to have the
vehicle inspected, or after the inspection. All financial transactions
must be completed before delivery of the vehicle. In the event you
decide not to buy the vehicle after inspection and we have stopped the
auction for you or you have hit the buy it now button, the listing fee
to re-list the vehicle will not be refunded. We reserve the right to
re-list and sell the vehicle to another party in the event of failure
to comply with this policy. In most cases Top Shelf Reps has not seen
or inspected the vehicles we represent online.
