| AMERICAN COIN SILVER SERVER, BLACKMAN, DANBURY,CT |
 |  |   Frederick Starr Blackman worked in Danbury, Connecticut, about 1832, and later in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
This large serving spoon has a straight, turned-down fiddle handle. Its shallow bowl has a faint crease and minimal wear on its leftmost side. There are no dimples, scratches, bends or repairs. It is monogrammed " HBH " in flowing period script, and clearly marked on the reverse F.S. BLACKMAN, and DANBURY in a cartouche flanked by eagle pseudomarks.
