AMERICAN HISTORY USA LETTERPRESS PRINTING PRESS

You are bidding on a rare piece of AMERICAN  HISTORY !  This is a Cast Iron WASHINGTON  STYLE  HAND  PRESS.  This press was manufactured 100 years ago by  THE  OSTRANDER  SEYMOUR  CO.,  CHICAGO.  This press is the "EXTRA  HEAVY" model.  The platen size is 20 1/4" x 26 1/8".  The bed is 21 3/4" x 27 3/4".  There are no breaks or welds on this machine.  This press is in very good condition.  It is missing the tympan & frisket, which can be fabricated, if you intend to print with it.  The bed moves in & out very easily.  The handle that brings down the platen works very smoothly.  If you want it for a static display, it's ready to go.  This press is being sold as is, loaded on a truck that the buyer will supply.  No extra charges for loading. All sales are final & no refunds.  This item weighs approximately 4,500.00 lbs,  The press stands 76" tall, as you see it in the pictures.  After I skid the press, add another 6" to the height. The skid will be approx. 6 ft. wide and 6 ft. long.  It would be way too much for, and I won't load it into a pick up truck.  If you want to dismantle the press and load it yourself, thats fine with me. It should be loaded onto a common carrier flatbed and be professionally strapped down, for safe transport.  I will accept any type of check or PayPal. I will require payment in full within 5 business days from the end of the auction.  My bank must have collected funds prior to loading.  I will not sell to buyers with recent negitive or no feedbacks.
