  *MUSEUM QUALITY*

*ULTRA RARE 1800s TREEN LADLE, DIPPER, or SPOON*

Thank you for stopping by and looking. This week I will be offering some wonderful and quite unique antique primitives that have never been available for sale. Many of the pieces I will be offering have some special aspects to them, something that makes them a bit out of the ordinary, 'one of a kind treasures' and 'museum pieces' that do not come around very often these days. I do not use the term 'museum quality' very lightly. Some sellers put 'values' on their treasures...I can honestly state that many galleries have purchased from us over the years only to resell these beautiful rarities for 10 x's what they originally paid. Recently documented: I offered an exceptional 1800s native American treenware dipper, it sold for $820.00 here on eBay, it is currently being offered by a prominent gallery in New England for $6,500.00. Don't let this exceptional 'one of a kind' museum quality treenware pass you by.

This auction is for a superb museum quality 'one of a kind' 1800s hand carved, hand hewn, utilitarian treenware re: woodenware ladle, dipper, or utilitarian spoon with a fabulous 'out of this world' native American form. Painstakingly & beautifully carved from one piece of wood, very impressive and dates to the early 1800s. This spoon has been in a private collection since the early 1900s and was passed down from a Shoshoni elders personal belongings. The form exhibits a beautiful native American Yoruk or Hupa shaped bowl however the ladle was found in upstate NY and is attributed to possibly being early Beothuk, Abnaki, or Huron. Form is exceptional, patina is fabulous, soft to the touch, for the collector of the finest early American treenware or early native Americana utilitarian woodenware. Untouched, 100% original very dry surface with age oxidation in all the right places, very honest with a very smooth feel. Spoon measures 9 3/4" long, bowl is 4 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 1" depth at the center, circumference 'around' the bowl is 12". The handle makes this one of the most stunning pieces of primitive Americana treenware I have seen in decades, this great spoon speaks volumes...

Pictures do not do this ladle any justice. I tried to capture every angle possible. Please view the many photos and use the SUPERSIZE feature for greater detail, a pictures says a 1000 words, in hand you will just adore this wonderful early American treenware treasure. Please email any questions prior to bidding and please ask if you need more photos. Offered in it's original untouched 'as acquired' condition. Finding another will be VERY difficult...if not impossible...Worthy of a museum collection!

Thanks for looking, need more photos?, have any questions, please just ask....
