You may have seen Kaylee last week. I had a couple of people say that her lips were a bit too dark, so I have removed all the paint that was on her lips and redid them to a beautiful, natural softer coloring. Kaylee began as the beautiful Reva Schick “Ariella” sculpt and boy oh boy is this kit exquisite! I love and adore Reva Schick’s talent, and this Ariella kit is makes the most beautiful baby! This kit is distributed by Dolldreams. It was my ultimate pleasure to reborn this baby girl into an incredible OOAK work of art!

Kaylee was completely reborn with the same care and loving attention I give all my babies. I am dedicated to the art or reborning and have been doing so for over 4 years now. With my background in portrait sketching and watercolors, combined with my love of babies and of dolls, this venue completes me and I strive for excellence with each and every baby “born” to Angelbabymaker Nursery.

Before anything, I gave Kaylee a warm, soapy bubble bath so she smells fresh and clean. She was then ready for the complete reborning process. Kaylee is a full sized baby girl, with ¾ arms and full legs which makes her wonderful to dress as it’s so easy to find wonderful 0-3 months clothing! I have filled Kaylee’s limbs with tiny glass granules then sealed with a strong silicone putty to prevent any leakage. I carefully and expertly filled Kaylee’s custom made jointed doe suede body and her head with sealed bags of tiny glass granules, poly pellets and premium polyfil for the perfect weight and feel! You’'re going to LOVE holding and cuddling this sweet little girl!

I chose to give Kaylee a magnetic pacifier. I use rare earth magnets that are strong, so if you have a pacemaker please let know and I’ll be more than happy to remove all magnets before I send Kaylee home!

~Artist Quality Heat-Set Paints~
|
As you can see, Kaylee possesses a beautiful, healthy skin glow, as she has been completely reborn with my own special blends of permanent Genesis heat-set pigments to produce the most realistic skin tone. I never paint the inside of a baby nor do I use dyes…only non-bruising techniques have been used to achieve the undertones in the skin. I hand-painted Kaylee’s face and limbs to look extremely realistic, giving Kaylee a ''real living skin'' beautiful newborn baby complexion. I have highlighted and shadowed all her little rolls and creases to perfection and gave Kaylee a beautiful, natural lip color and sealed her lips with a gloss and matte combination finish. I also take things a step further by adding realistic but very subtle ''veining'' in bluish tones to add the look of baby veins to Kaylee's skin in various places which may be a bit thinner in reality..the bridge of her nose, her tiny wrists, the top of her hands, top and bottoms of her feet, etc. So very subtle like a real baby has. When she was finished, I gave Kaylee another warm sudsy bubble bath to remove any traces of residue then I washed and conditioned Sacha’s hair after I micro-rooted it- she smells wonderful like a freshly washed baby.

~Premium Angora Mohair~

You're going to LOVE Kaylee’s hair! It’s magnificent! I gave Kaylee a gorgeous full head of micro-rooted, premium kid mohair in a gorgeous shiny blonde color. I just LOVE this head of hair! I spent days and days rooting it to perfection. The mohair was well worth the price I paid for it, which was quite a lot! But this is the BEST mohair I have found, and I won't compromise on the baby's crowning glory. It is secured on the inside of her head with an extremely strong, waterproof adhesive for added durability. I also hand-rooted wispy baby eyelashes on Kaylee with the same color mohair used on her head so they match perfectly! I then lightly hand-painted stroke-by-stroke baby eyebrows for the finishing touches on this beautiful baby girl.

~Her Little Fingers and Toesies~

Kaylee’s little fingers and toes were tipped and triple sealed in a more natural tone so the nail color won't rub off as you change her clothing. Meticulous detail was given to her sweet little hands and feet to show extreme realism. Because Kaylee’s nose was sculpted very deep there was no need for me to open them. Instead I shaded her little nostrils so that they look completely natural.

~Going Home~

Kaylee wears a size 0-3 months clothing and with her ¾ length arms and full length legs she’s wonderful to dress! Kaylee will go home with the most GORGEOUS outfits! First is a gorgeous ''Baby Biscotti'' pink dress adorned with tons of tulle and ribbons and rosettes with a leopard print on the top...it is absolutely GORGEOUS!! It’s so dainty and feminine! I love this dress so much! I've paired it with the sweetest little pink ballet slippers! Precious! The next outfit is the sweetest little pink ruffled romper with the words ''Pretty Princess'' on it! So befitting this special little girl! The outfit also comes with the coordinating bib that says ''Pretty'' on it! And then when Kaylee needs to nap, she can wear her adorable dotted sleeper to snooze in! I love this whole layette! Additional items Kaylee will go home with is her little silver bracelet with a tiny cherub charm on it, her magnetic paci, her hair clips and hair bow, her 'Certificate of Authenticity' signed and dated by me, a gorgeous 4X6 black and white glossy photo of Kaylee suitable for framing, and she will also have an extra diaper tucked in with her just in case:)
