An antique child's raised ABC transferware plate with hand-colored hunt scene. The wonderful child's plate has a black transfer printed scene of horses, riders, and hounds racing across the English countryside in pursuit. In the background, church steeples, trees, and foliage add to the scene. Vivid shades of green, blue, pink, and brillant yellow are hand-colored adding impact to this small but striking child's plate. Children's plates were often given as special gifts and used as educational tools.

Condition; very good antique condition; small nick to edge in the 10:00 position. Crazing and wear in accordance with age and use
