The only explanation I can come up for this one is once upon a time a wonderful grandmother or mother had her diamond engagement ring sized down to give to her first grand child or great grand child.    It is solid 14k yellow gold with a VS color G-H .25 carat bright clear diamond in the center. Great VS quality color G-H.  It is now size 2 1/2 but can be changed.  Just recently I had my first (( good )) ring put in my charm bracelet where I can enjoy it often.
