ANTIQUE VICTORIAN CIRCA 1890 GOLD PIN FEATURING ENAMEL DESIGN ON THE FRONT AND FOR THE NATIONAL SLOVAK SOCIETY OF AMERICA 

The pin was recently found in an antique Victorian purse that I purchased from an estate sale in Boston, Massachusetts, along with another pair of later political pins.  I didn't realize that the pin was inside the purse until I began taking pictures of the interior of the purse.  I shall add a picture of the antique purse that the pin was located inside in my picture gallery below.

The pin has been dated circa 1890 by two different experts and features exquisite painted enamel on the front middle of the pin.  The enameling is in sky blue, deep red and there are two crosses enameled in white.  The letters on the pin read:  NAR. SLOV. SPOL. US of AMERICA.  There is also an eagle with its wings spread above the two white enameled crosses.  The pinback and hinge construction date the pin to the Victorian era of the late 19th century.  I cannot find any other markings on the pin.

The pin is in antique condition and will need a good polish.  The pinback and the back hinge are in bent condition and may need to be repaired at the buyer's descretion.  Additional pictures shall be supplied upon request.
