ANTIQUE 19TH C FRENCH MORBIER WAG ON WALL CLOCK PAINTED 

THIS AUCTION IS FOR A STUNNING ANTIQUE FRENCH MORBIER WALL CLOCK.  THE STAMPED METAL (BRASS OR TIN) SURROUNDING BOTH THE PORCELAIN FACE OF THE CLOCK ALONG WITH THE HANGING PENDULUM IS HIGHLY EMBOSSED WITH DETAILED WHEAT, FLORAL AND FARM SCENE WITH HAND PAINTED WITH COLORFUL ACCENTS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRYSIDE OR FARM SCENE. 

ON THE PENDULUM, THE MAN WAS ANIMATED, WHERE HE BENDS UP AND DOWN WHILE HE IS SITTING ON A LOG CHOPPING. AS THE MAN MOVES, THE BARN DOOR OPENS AND CLOSES. THIS IS NOT WORKING AND WE DO NOT KNOW HOW IT WORKED, BUT YOU CAN MOVE THE MAN UP AND DOWN AND THE DOOR STILL OPENS IF YOU DO IT BY HAND.

THERE IS GREAT DETAILING ON THE PENDULUM AND THE PIECE SURROUNDING THE CLOCK.

THE PORECELAIN FACE OF THE CLOCK IS KEY WOUND (KEY IS INCLUDED) WITH ROMAN NUMERALS.  THE CLOCK FACE READS:

THERE ARE SOME SCRATCHES ON THE FACE ALONG WITH SMALL KNICKS BUT THESE DO NOT TAKE AWAY FROM THE BEAUTY OF THIS WONDERFUL ANTIQUE PIECE.

THE CLOCK IS MARKED 1899 LP (SEE PICTURES FOR DETAILS) WHICH COULD BE THE YEAR THE CLOCK WAS MADE.

THE PENDULUM ALSO HAS THE WORD LA CULTURE ON IT.

THERE ARE TWO 8 LB WEIGHTS.

APPROX. 61 INCHES TALL AND 12 1/2 INCHES WIDE

EACH SIDE OF THE CLOCK OPENS UP TO REVEAL THE WORKS INSIDE. 

AS WITH ANY CLOCKS OF THIS AGE IT SHOULD BE LOOKED AT BY A PROFESSIONAL TO KEEP IT IN RUNNING ORDER FOR YEARS TO COME.

THIS CLOCK IS VERY HEAVY WITH THE TWO 8 POUNDS WEIGHTS AND MUST BE HUNG STRAIGHT AND SECURE ON YOUR WALL.  THE CLOCK ALSO HAS TO BE BALANCED ON YOUR WALL IN ORDER FOR IT TO WORK. THERE IS HEAVY DUTY WIRING THE CLOCK HANGS FROM ALONG WITH BRACE BRACKETS ON THE BACK OF THE CLOCK.

WHEN HUNG PROPERLY, THE CLOCK CHIMES WITH A RICH BELL SOUND AND COUNTS THE HOURS, AT 12: O'CLOCK IT WILL RING 12 TIMES.

    Our Shipping Methods

    Whenever possible, Estate Sale Deals will gladly COMBINE SHIPPING for our valued customers!
    Just send us an email if you have won multiple auctions here and we will figure out the lowest possible shipping cost for you!

    You can choose from any of the following methods of shipping depending on the size of your item:

    • USPS Parcel Post S&H: The most economical way to ship, usually takes 2-9 business days for arrival.
    • USPS Priority Mail S&H: An economical way to ship, usually takes 2-3 business days.
    • UPS - Overnight: Very costly, but your item is guaranteed to arrive by noon the next day, if your item is paid for by 10:00am the previous day. Please contact us for details.
    • Freight Shipping: We will assist you with multiple methods of delivery via Freight Shipping. Our Freight Terminal is located in Ft. Myers, Florida. Freight Shipping is used for large items. We offer two ways to ship from our freight terminal to you.
    1. From our Freight Terminal located in Ft. Myers, Florida to a Freight Terminal located closest to your local zip code. You would be contacted from the your local freight terminal so you know your item has arrived, then you would notify them of when you will pick the item up. This is usually the less expensive way to ship a large item.
    2. From our Freight Terminal located in Ft. Myers, Florida to your home or business. This would be curbside service. You will be given an estimated time of arrival and a date. If you choose this option, you would need to be at your home or business the day of the arrival, and would be given a time frame for when the item will arrive. This method is usually more expensive, and sometimes less convenient if you have to stay home that day and wait for the delivery.
    • Insurance is required to protect your investment. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS are always welcome to bid on our items; however, there is a minimum handling fee on international sales and international payment must be through PayPal. Please email if you need a shipping quote to your country.
       

      INSURANCE

      We urge you to take our Insurance option when you are purchasing a Fragile, Glass or Delicate Item, as we can not be responsible if the U.S. Post Office or Shipping Carrier looses or breaks your item. Tracking Numbers are provided once we have shipped the item, but if the item is lost or broken in transit, we will assist you in filing a claim with the post office in order for you to receive a refund for the amount of the item that you purchased from us, excluding the shipping fees. In some cases, we will insure the item for it's value, and also the shipping fee in order to provide you with a 'No Loss Guarantee'.

       

      HOW WE PACK

      Rest assured, we take a great deal of care in packing any items you purchase from us, which is why there may be a 2-5 day handling wait period as we are packing your item with great care, locating the essential packing supplies and boxes in order to ensure that your fragile items arrive safely. All fragile orders are marked Fragile on the box. We sometimes wrap and box fragile items, then add them into a larger box in order to ensure a safe arrival. We use a variety of shipping materials including, bubble wrap, news paper, plastic, Styrofoam, cardboard wrapping, crating and sometimes hand built cardboard barriers in order to provide you with a worry free purchase.
