Fantastic, very unique, old rocking horse in excellent condition. I'm thinking he was homemade, made entirely of wood. The head I believe is also wood, and then covered with a type of plaster. He has carved eyes, mouth and nose. The seat is covered with velveteen, set into slots and then doweled in. It's very big, heavy, and very sturdy for young buccaneers. It measures 53" long and 30" high. It was made in Germany in the 1800's and then traveled to Ireland where it probably pleasured a child for many years, before coming here to Michigan to rest in a collectors home for many years. He's truly a wonderful primitive horse. Local pick up only with cash, money order, cashiers check or Paypal accepted as payment. Teddy bear for display only.
