Description:

Antique English mahogany boxed, traveling balance, circa 1850

Probably used to weigh coins, silver and gems.

The steel balance with brass pans is unmarked, the brass weights are marked to weigh in grains

 The balance is in good working order, the weights are probably later.

In good uncleaned condition, fine as it is or it could be polished.

The box is 6,7/8" or 174mm wide.

Weight 206 grams.
