We have for sale a gorgeous art nouveau metallic micro-bead evening bag that was made in France.   It is irridescent in shades of pink, blue, green, gold and bronze. There are no rips, repairs or missing beads on the body of the purse. The frame is bronze/copper with an ivy leaf and bow pattern and has an ornament hanging from the center.  The clasp is a flower that works by pushing it down while opening the frame. The bottom has twisted beaded fringe but is missing four strands. The inside is lined with pale aqua silk with hand-sewn ruffles and a pocket.  There is a small discoloration just above the "Made in France" label but no tears, rips or "disintegrating" areas.  My research indicates this was made pre-1910.  This bag is very heavy, weighing in at 13 1/2 oz. and measures 9 1/2" X 6 1/2" before the chain strap. This purse was obviously well cared for and stored carefully.

This is a very serious collectible for yourself or someone very serious about antique purses!
