ANTIQUE BIBLE 1868 THE NEW TESTAMENT & PSALMS BOOK

Up for auction is this antique 1868 Bible- New Testament and Psalms Book.

This book measures approx. 8 1/4" H. x 5 1/4" W. x 1 1/2" thick.

Even though it is quite worn, it has an ornately decorated leather cover. Please refer to the photos-the spine shows the most wear.

The front page is marked, "The New Testament of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ-Translated out of The Original Greek and with the former Translations Diligently Compared and Revised-American Bible Society". Looks like this is the 4th Edition.

The New Testament contains 427 pages and The Book of Psalms, "Translated out of The Original Hebrew" contains 109 pages.

Flaws: A previous owner's name is seen on the first page and some handwritten notes are seen here and there throughout the book. Age related spotting is seen.

The pages are still in good condition and tightly bound.

Fantastic find for any antique Bible Collector!!
