COMES IN THE ORIGINAL BOX

This adorable COLLECTIBLE RARE ANTIQUE “ BIMBO THE DANCING WHIRLING CLOWN FASCINATING MECHANICAL TOY” is in excellent condition and, comes in the original box that is, also, in excellent condition.  Please pay special attention to the vibrant colors, shiny finish, his cute dog atop his umbrella and it not only looks great, it works great, too.  It has some very tiny paint loss on two black spots on the front and one red spot on his side – see pictures.  The original box has vibrant colors and is all in tact and does have a 2 ½ inch tear that comes down a corner seam – see pictures.  On the box lid it reads: “IRWIN, BIMBO the CLOWN, NON-FLAM PLASTIC” and has “No. 604”, with 604 crossed out in blue ink and “603” written in.  On three sides of the box it reads: “IRWIN, BIMBO THE Dancing Whirling CLOWN FASCINATING MECHANICAL TOY”. On one side of the box it reads: “FOR GIRLS, FOR BOYS, WATCH HIM DANCE!, SEE HIM TWIRL HIS UMBRELLA!, …he’s loads of fun and EXCITEMENT., DIRECTIONS:  To start BIMBO dancing, wind motor with key on his back.  Hold toy by the feet and spin the umbrella to start action., Made in U. S. A. by IRWIN CORPORATION, 200 FIFTH AVENUE, NEW YORK 10, N. Y., PAT. PEND., PRINTED IN U.S.A.”.  When you start the action the umbrella spins until it winds down, to start again repeat winding.  Please note that some of the pictures have an unavoidable glare from the overhead lights and camera flash.  Dimensions: 10 ¼ inches tall, 5 ¼ inches wide and 4 ¾ inches deep.

We have had the pleasure of owning this rare clown mechanical toy collectible treasure for over 25 years.  It has been displayed in a glass display case in a completely smoke and pet free environment.  We are in the process of downsizing, therefore are selling due to space limitations.
