Superb antique Black Forest...most probably Swiss Brienz quality, sewing work box carved as a thatched roof cottage.

Approx. 5 by 6 by 7 inches.

How charming with original working key, thatched roof with side chimney, covered attic window, cross hatched floor windows, landscaping around the cottage, rounded back door and the facade is carved to imitate stone or brick work.

Interior opens to covered magenta silk with braid trim.

Remarkable condition with no chips or cracks.

The best piece of the kind that I have ever seen.
