FRESH FROM A PRIVATE COLLECTOR'S ESTATE - ANTIQUE BOOK "FRANCE" 1898 - BY M. GUIZOT AND MADAME GUIZOT DE WITT AND TRANSLATED BY ROBERT BLACK IN EIGHT VOLUMES.  VOL. VIII AND PUBLISHED BY PETER FENELON COLLIER - 1898= NEW YORK.  FOUR BLACK AND WHITE PLATES -EXQUISITELY DETAILED ILLUSTRATIONS

An exquisite antique book by historian M. Guizot - Vol. VIII (MDCCCXCVIII - 1898).  Red cloth and leather edged coverboards.  Coverboard spine cloth is missing.  Published by Peter Fenelon Collier - New York - 1898 - Vol. VIII.  With a Supplementary Chapter of Recent Events by MAYO W. HAZELTINE.  

Includes four black and white illustrated pages.  480 pages including index with color-aging and some water marks.  All pages are intact and spine is intact, however a bit loose.  Hard red, leather-like cloth coverboards. 

Cloth spine is missing.  Leather edges have fraying, but overall it is in good condition especially for its age.  A true find for any antique History of France book collection.  Amazing history in detail and a wonderful genealogical reference.
