This French antique brass oil heater comes directly from an Estate. 

It weighs just under 2 lbs. and measures 8" x 6-1/4" x 2-1/4". We don't know the exact age or history of this piece but believe it to be circa late 1800's.

There are a couple of splits annotated on the photos. When you shake it you can hear some debris in the tank. The tank appears to be solid. The cap and cap threads are good. There is about 1-1/2" inches of wick left. It is a very attractive conversation piece.

It is called "La Frileuse", "Je Chauffe Sans Danger" - English translation "The Chilly" (sensitive to the cold) "I Heat Without Danger". "Marque Depose" translates to "Registered Trademark".
