ANTIQUE CZECHOSLOVAKIA "CONCERTONE" NICKLE PLATED TROMBONE W/2 TONE SLIDES & AWESOME CASE Before we even try to describe the instrument, please, check out the case which is truly an eye catcher. Canvas covered with green felt lining. It's definitely banged up (see images) but still a wonderful piece of musical history. The Nickle plate trombone is quite awesome in it's own right. We had it inspected at a prominent local music store and were informed that it dates to at least the turn of the century (if not the late 1890s). European (Czechoslovakia) design measuring approximately 45" long (assembled) with a 7 1/4" bell. We were told that the instrument is somewhat rare in that it has two tuner slides (see images) which are interchangeable to create different tones. Considering age condition on the trombone is good with some pitting on the large slide and several dings and dents on the bell. The finish is dulled and we have not attempted to clean nor polish it. The trombone does make music (well, not when I play it - but it is in working order). Thanks for looking!Buyer agrees to remit payment within 07 days of auction close.
