Here is a lovely old..probably very late 1800's or before 1910..painting of a glass vase full of pansies that has spilled all over a table. This painting was a little dirty when I bought it..I gently cleaned it and revealed a book..the Bible ? , unsure..on the table and water spilling down the front of the table. It is unsigned or dated, I have sold many of these, collected them also ..it has loads of charm w/ the tipped over vase and the multi-colored pansies and leaves spilled. It is on canvas, measures 20 x 12 ins. approx. w/ the frame. It is in good condition , very mild craquelure..evidence of age..no chipping paint. Ultra-charming. The frame is simple..in only fair condition w/ some splotching of the paint ..but suitable still..would be fabulous to re-frame in fancy gold frame.
