ANTIQUE ENGLISH ESTATE VICTORIAN BLACK POLISHED WOODEN SNUFF BOX NECESSAIRE FEATURING MOTHER OF PEARL FLORAL DESIGN ON THE LID

SIMPLY STUNNING WITH NO RESERVE 

Recently purchased as part of a private estate sale from London, England.  The Victorian Rare Wooden Ladies Snuff Box is in well-preserved condition with only minor age-flaking to the antique wood.  There is one tiny hairline crack on each side of the wooden base of the box which can be seen in my picture gallery below, which doesn't detract from the beauty of this antique box at all.  I simply fell in love with this antique English Snuff Box with the elabaorate Mother of Pearl Floral Design on the top at the London estate sale.  The Mother of Pearl Floral Motif was obviously created by a master 19th century decorator/artist with delicate skill and careful precision.  English Estate purchased from dated this Floral Mother of Pearl Motif Victorian Wooden Snuff Box circa 1860's.

The mother of pearl colors are exquisite in shades of white, pink, blue and green.  Amazingly, only one of the flower petals on the antique pearl designs has flaked off from age.  No maker markings are visible on the wooden Victorian Ladies Snuff Box, which is a shame as it is so elaborate and I would love to know who the artist was.  I couldn't decide on which pictures to edit for the description so I just had to list them all below in order to show the amazing quality of this exquisite high quality antique English Snuff Box.

The wooden box is highly polished or black laquered and still retains its lovely original patina.  Antique wooden Snuff Box collectors need to see this item, it is quite rare in beauty and condition.

Amazing and well-preserved condition with minor age - rubbing to a few places of the black paint on the antique wooden snuff box which can be seen in my close-up pictures below.  This Victorian ladies necessaire English Mother of Pearl Floral Motif Wooden Snuff Box is very elegant.  I purchased several other similar items from the same London estate which shall be listed this week.  Two other similiar Victorian snuff boxes were purchased for over $400.00 each at the same estate sale. 

Measurements:  4" in length and 2" in width.  When opened, the Snuff Box measures 3" in height.
