ANTIQUE ENGLISH STERLING SILVER JEWELRY BOX~SWAN LEGS

An antique English solid silver jewelry box from the early Edwardian Era. Supported by cast and applied feet in the form of swans, the box has a domed lid with gadrooned edges. Swans which are most often viewed as a symbol of love have captured our attention and imagination through the centuries. Absolute Edwardian elegance! 

 Impressive size and weight! Approx. 420 grams or 14 troy oz.

Measurements are; 7 1/2" X 3 1/4" with the height being 2 1/4"

The box is fully hallmarked for the year 1902 and the assay town of Birmingham. Marked with a D&F in a co-joined circle for Deakin & Francis. The company is still family owned after seven generations; being founded in 1786 and highly respected even today. The condition of the box is very good antique condition. There are minor surface scratches in accordance with age and use. The legs are tight, no major scratches or dents. The hinges work well and the original lining is in good condition. [2080125]

If item is sent with a signature required on delivery it must be returned with signature required.
