OF MAHOGANY WITH GILT BRONZE MOUNTS ( ORMOLU) ON A FAUX PAINTED WOOD SURFACE THE CASE IS CYMA DESIGNED SO WE TOOK PHOTOS OF ALL SIDES TO SHOW.  CLASSICAL FRENCH ROCOCO MOTIFS ON MOUNTS .. IN EXCELLENT CONDITION EXCEPT FOR TWO HAIRLINES ON WOODEN CASE ON FRONT. MARKED ON BACK WITH A METAL PLAQUE THAT SAYS "FRANCE" WE INCLUDED PHOTOS OS THE MECHANISM BUT CANNOT SEE MARK OF MAKER UNLESS WE TAKE APART.  IT WORKS BUT NEED ADJUSTMENTS TO BE ACCURATE.
