FRENCH STERLING SILVER &
GILT CUP, SAUCER, & SPOON 
An Antique French Sterling Silver & Vermeil Demitasse Set marked .950 sterling. The cup, saucer, and spoon are in a simple classic design; a reeded edge and cross. All three pieces are monogrammed. An elegant presentation for espresso or any after dinner drink.
The beautiful script monogram takes center stage; the trio will take center stage at your next dinner party.
The cup and saucer are marked LC for Coignet (Plassait, was the successor), 9 place des Vosges, Paris. The spoon is marked PD for Devouge et Dupont, 8 bis, rue Fontaine-au-Roi, Paris. Even though the spoon was made by another silversmith the reeded design and monogram is identical to the cup and saucer. Mid-late 19th. Century.
Hallmarks; Minerva # 1 for .950 (used after 1838), the maker’s mark, and a bigornes or counter-mark.
Measurements; cup 2 ½” X 2 1/8th” or 6,3cm X 5,3cm, saucer, 4 ¾” or 12cm, spoon 5 ½” long or 14cm
Condition; surface scratches and some minor dings in keeping with age of the pieces
Return Policy:
Returns accepted; please notify me within 3 days of receipt of item. Shipping fees will be buyers responsibility. If due to a mistake on my part, return costs will be my responsiblity. My preference is that you be satisfied with your purchase and I will work toward that goal. The item must be packed, shipped, and insured in the same manner. If item is sent with a signature required on delivery it must be returned with signature required.

It is important to me that your item arrives in fine shape. It will be carefully packed with quality materials. I ship on Tuesday and Fridays; should you need an item sooner, please let me know. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs (insurance, etc) unless we have a prior agreement. International Buyers: I try to keep shipping costs as low as possible. Please note, you will be responsible for any duties, taxes or brokerage fees on your items.
