ANTIQUE GERMAN 1910's POST CARD JESUS FROM THE CROSS

This is a antique German post card from the 1910's.  The card reads on back KREUZABNAHME* LA DESCENTE DE LA CROIX.  THE DESCENT FROM THE CROSS.  F. LEEKE PINX.  Marke*EGMS*No. 9051 in the series.  Look for other cards in the same series in our ebay store.  This picture is of Jesus being taken down off the cross, with Mary his Mother, Mary Magdalene and John at the bottom of the Cross. It is very detailed with the blood of our Lord on the cross and the scroud draped over which they will wrap him in.  It deplets one of the stations of the cross. The back of the card is yellowed with age. It has never been used or displayed.  It is purchased by my Great Grandfather for inventory in the family store. It has sat in a print drawer since the early 1900's.  The colors on these cards are very bold.  The art  and quality is something you don't see to often anymore. The cards have a small bend in the right hand corner. The card measures 3 1/3 x 5 1/4 inches.
