ANTIQUE GERMAN 1910's POST CARD PIETA

This is a antique German post card from the 1910's.  The card reads on back PIETA Leonh Thoma  pinx.  Marke*EGMS*No. 9019 in the series.  Look for other cards in the same series in our ebay store.  This picture is of  Mary Jesus mohter holding him after he is taken down from the cross as she is looking up to the heavens at the bottom of the cross. There are 3 angels adoring. It is very detailed with the our Lord lying in the scroud draped over which they will wrap him in.  It deplets one of the stations of the cross. The back of the card is yellowed with age. It has never been used or displayed.  It is purchased by my Great Grandfather for inventory in the family store. It has sat in a print drawer since the early 1900's.  The colors on these cards are very bold.  The art  and quality is something you don't see to often anymore. The cards have a small bend in the right hand corner. The card measures 3 1/3 x 5 1/4 inches.
