Antique authentic aquatint hand colored etching engraving dating to 1852.  This is colored in watercolor by hand as originally published. Full plate, an original etching as published, aquaforte.  Condition is fair. Image area is in very nice condition for the age. Blank margins show some staining, foxing and soiling consistent with normal age. Blank on back, with a plate impression, from an antique children's book.  Overall size is approximately 6.25 x 8.25 inches. Image size is approximately 3.75 x 4.75 inches.

A new mother is cradling her new baby at her breast.  There is a baby spoon and dish on the table and a gorgeous antique baby's cradle with a blanket.
