ANTIQUE HANDCOLORED PRINT PERSIAN HINDU INDIAN PRINCESS

RARE STUNNING ANTIQUE HAND COLORED PRINT IN ORIGINAL FRAME OF THE ROYAL PRINCESS WIFE OF AN INDIAN HINDU OR MUSLIM NOBLEMAN

This antique print is exquisite in detail and features the Wife of a Indian Hindu or Muslim Nobleman.  The colors remain richly vivid despite considerable age.  The print is in its original (either oak or walnut) black wooden frame and has its original glass front.  No artist's signature that I notice, but is titled underneath the sitting portrait figure.  Some expected age-yellowing to the paper.

Recently acquired from a private estate collection from Boston, Massachusetts along with several other high-end antiques and rare collectibles which I shall be listing shortly.

My research has led me to the conclusion that this is the portrait of an Indian (possibly Persian Royalty) Muslim Woman.  She is dressed in exotic and colorful fashion and she isn't wearing the traditional veil worn by modern Hindu or Muslim women.  She is quite beautiful and wearing her finest robes, scarves, and jewelry.

The original antique frame will need a bit of repair as the old nails have come loose on the top left hand tip.  The damage to the frame can be seen in my picture gallery below.

Measuresments:   12" in height and 9 1/2" in width in original frame and the actual antique hand-tinted print measures 8 1/2" in height and 6 1/4" in width
