Pius IX served 31 years, 7 months and 23 days from 1846 to 1878 as Pope capturing the longest confirmed reign as Pope. This particular Holy Bible was custom made for an individual whose name has been inscribed on the front cover. Also a page of family Birth, Baptism, Marriage and Death records which date to the early 1850's.
