This antique hand carved jade used to be a 10k gold cufflink.  It has been gold soldered to a solid 14k yellow wedding band ring size 8 1/2.  Really, very clever. It was just to special not to find something good to do with it. 

 I believe the carving is an Indian.  It measures 7/8" north to south and 3/8" east to west. NO damage what so ever to the jade carving.  The condition is excellent.  The solid gold band is 2.6mm, not skinny or flimsy.  The gold weight is a very substantial 5.6 grams. I always include a new velvet ring box for gift giving.
