The base is alabaster with a Corinthian style column, with one of the sweetest little fonts we have seen for quite a while.
The unusual acorn shaped font has frosted grape and vine leaves, and it such a lovely shape.
Nice condition - few minor nibbles on the corners of the alabaster, the font is in beautiful condition - could do with a final clean up as it has years of grime and dust inside.
It will take a number 2 Queen anne size burner, although I think it would have had a much more delicate burner, as the base it quite feminine
The font can be removed from the base easily - it has not ceased
